It Feels Like Basically Every NHL Team Will Have A Different Goalie Next Season

If you have been following along in NHL free agency today there is has been ongoing trend, the goalie market is fucking bananalands right now. Everytime I check my phone a new goalie just signed a nice new tickets for a new team. King Henrik? Gone to Washington. Braden Holtby? Gone to Vancouver. Cam Talbot? Gone to Minnesota. So lets take a look at some of the goalies who have been moved today, or will be moved today.
- Vancouver - Braden Holtby - 2yrs/8.6m
- Washington - Henrik Lundqvist - 1yr/1.5m
- Ottawa - Matt Murray - 4yrs/25m
- Dallas - Anton Khudobin - 3yrs/10m
- Chicago - Malcolm Subban - 2yrs/1.7m
- Oilers - Anton Forsberg - 1yr/(money unknown)
And these are just the goalies who have already signed! We are only two hours into this thing. There are still tons of available tendies out there.
- Jacob Markstrom
- Thomas Greiss
- Mike Smith
- Aaron Dell
- Corey Crawford
- Jimmy Howard
- Cory Schneider
Then there are the goalies on the trade block as well. (via TSN)
- Marc-Andre Fleury
- Frederik Andersen
- Joonas Korpiaslo
- Tuukka Rask (dumb)
- Jonathan Quick
The names of 15 goalies were mentioned in this blog. 15!!! The fact 15 different teams could have different goalies next season is mind blowing. I think the madness of the 2020 offseason is just getting started too. The flat cap is putting tons of teams in real shitty cap situations where I actually think there will be more roster movement this offseason than the past 15 years.
